Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated physician to join our growing team. We are a community-focused, outpatient mental health group serving diverse and underserved populations. Combining the rigor of academic medicine with direct care delivery, we strive to bring the most evidence-based and specialized clinical care to all patients—including Medicaid and Medicare patients. In addition to subspecialized psychiatry services, such as interventional psychiatry, substance use, and child and adolescent psychiatry, we also have a robust research division for cutting edge innovations in clinical treatments and pharmacologic development.

About the Role 
The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients through evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, you will help patients access the resources and support they need to improve mental health and overall well-being. Serving as a key leader of the clinical office, you will also play a key role in supporting your clinical team through education and supervision (protected time included) to ensure patients receive holistic support.

Location: Mission Viejo, CA (minimum 3 days in-office, up to 2 days remote)
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and holistic treatments for patients via in-person and via telehealth.
  • Supervise and collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (NPs, PAs, therapists)—protected time included
  • Opportunities to participate in interventional psychiatry service and clinical research pipelines
  • Career leadership opportunities for interested individuals with proficient experience in management and operations
  • Participate in crisis intervention and emergency care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications 
  • Completion of a Psychiatry Residency Program
  • Current and valid California medical license, NPI, and DEA registration
  • No disciplinary action or license restriction
  • Board Certification (preferred) / Board Eligible
  • At least 2 years of independent psychiatric experience (preferred)
  • Strong preferences for the following subspecialization/experience: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine, Clinical Research, or Interventional Psychiatry

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, total compensation range: $325,000 - $541,000.
